ElectriCom Inc. was founded in 1960 in Paoli, Indiana by Phil Brown to provide construction services to power and communications clients. The company has experienced continuous growth since its formation, but has maintained its focus on the telecommunications and power industries. The telecommunications marketplace is much broader today than in ElectriCom’s beginnings. Initially the company worked with USDA Rural Development (formerly RUS) borrowers throughout the Eastern half of the United States. Since the mid-1980s, this client mix has shifted gradually to encompass a broad base of privately owned and system telecom companies, as well as competitive local providers, intercity carriers, and municipalities. The power division has emphasized the member-owned and municipal power markets primarily in Indiana and the Midwest, and has developed excellent long-term relationships with several of these customers.
As mentioned above, the telecom industry has bloomed since the 1980’s, and in response to that demand, ElectriCom has added three new divisions in recent years: Network Services , Technical Services and Right-of-Way Services. Network Services provides premises communications wiring for properties as small as single dwellings up to multiple building campuses, for services ranging from single residence lines up to fiber optic, video, and data wiring for institutional and industrial customers. Technical Services concentrates on the electronics side of telecom, with its focus being installation and maintenance of Remote Terminals and telecom power. With a foot in both the power and telecom industries, our Right-of-Way Services division performs all manner of functions dealing with tree and vegetation clearing and maintenance.
From our earliest beginnings until today, our dedication to quality, customer service and long term relationships has illustrated that ElectriCom does, indeed, have "all the right connections."
